Find the Flower

This drawing is inspired by a dream where I slid down a building and finally grasped a door handle that opened into a place that felt a lot like London. Strangely, it also resembled the slums of the city, with informal housing stacked together. I wandered among strangers, feeling like an outsider, while sensing three men watching me. Out of fear, I ran up stairs and finally up a hill. The wise men were following me, and at the top, we finally met. I realized they were my allies, sharing the moment. Together, we watched the sunset, the sky painted in my favorite pink, birds flying, and felt an “aha” moment—a sense of peace settling over us. I woke in tears of joy.

I re-imagined this dream by portraying the chaos I felt through all the buildings: a village built atop itself, each house connecting to the next. In the original drawing, I hid a flower—finding the flower amidst the chaos was like finding peace within.
